Join us for the only Lamaze classes offered in Owensboro. Our Options in Childbirth Lamaze classes will be held on Monday evenings from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Simply Therapy located at 3117 Alvey Park Drive, Owensboro, KY 42303. These classes are based on the Lamaze Six Healthy Birth Practices and are focused on evidenced based care for mothers and babies. Our focus is normal, healthy birth. These classes will meet your need for informed choice of all of the options available to you in the childbearing year. Lamaze classes are designed for all mothers and their labor support persons who are interested in learning about the wide variety of decisions that need to be made during pregnancy, labor and postpartum. Topics include: nutrition and activity in pregnancy, how to support a woman through unmedicated and medicated childbirth, choices for pain relief options, coping techniques for natural labor, benefits and risks of common interventions, what happens in the event of a cesarean birth, questions to cover with your provider, what to expect when you bring your baby home, breastfeeding basics and much more!
